RiverwoodWriter: Connect, Create, Communicate
The Connector
Shenandoah Valley of Virginia
Connection makes me happy! I'm energized when I can connect people with information and resources they need, and I regularly write handwritten notes in hopes they will comfort, encourage, and inspire.

Exploring the power of connection and how to strengthen it, I needed an outlet to share what I was learning about the four most essential life connections: with Self, with Others, with God/Source, and with Nature. This led to Heartspoken.com, a blog filled with information and inspiration to teach anyone how to connect in a disconnected world.

I know connecting and communicating don’t come easily for some, especially busy small business owners, so I offer support and training for them through my freelance writing and desktop publishing business, RiverwoodWriter, LLC., websites www.SmallBizSpoken.com and RiverwoodWriter.com. I help organizations with their writing and content creation needs (including ghost writing or blogging and newsletter production). I teach small businesses simple online and offline strategies to strengthen their connection with prospects and customers. My mantra to them is, "Before you can sell, you have to connect."

Community service is a natural outpouring of my passion for connection. I serve on the board of First Bank (First National Corporation) and am active in my Episcopal church and the Shenandoah Community Foundation.

I’m crazy about reading (don’t try to take my Kindle away from me!), and if you’re a ham radio operator, you might occasionally find me on the airwaves as W4EHC. I'm an avid birdwatcher. My husband and I love to take walks and visit our grown children in New Mexico and Texas.
